The Atelier Standard

A considered approach to caring for your collection.

Our pieces are crafted with intention—each silhouette, fabric, and embellishment thoughtfully selected for lasting beauty. To ensure every garment maintains its integrity and elegance, we follow what we call The Atelier Standard: a refined, practical approach to care rooted in the best practices of high fashion and craftsmanship. Below, you'll find our guiding principles that can be applied across the collection:

1. Begin with the Label
Always consult the care label inside your garment. While we provide general recommendations, individual pieces may have unique construction or material requirements.

2. When in Doubt, Dry Clean
For intricate designs—such as sequins, feathers, structured tailoring, and special textiles—professional dry cleaning is strongly advised. This preserves the shape, texture, and detailing without risk.

3. Store with Intention

  • Knitwear and delicate fabrics should be folded and stored flat to prevent stretching.
  • Structured pieces and fringe details fare best hung on padded hangers, with room to breathe.
  • Use breathable garment bags for long-term storage, and avoid plastic covers, which can trap moisture.

4. Handle with Care
Avoid excessive friction, sharp accessories, and overexposure to sunlight or heat. These can dull finishes, cause pilling, or weaken fibers over time.

5. Keep It Cool
If washing at home is appropriate (such as for select vegan leathers or washable knits), always opt for cool water, gentle motions, and air drying away from heat sources.

6. Preserve the Silhouette
After cleaning, always reshape garments while damp or during steaming. Pressing should be done with caution—ideally using a cloth barrier or low steam at a distance.

This standard isn't just about maintenance—it's about honoring the design. With just a few mindful steps, your pieces will continue to move beautifully and feel exceptional, season after season.

Sequins

Designed to capture the light—and attention—sequined pieces deserve equally luminous care. To preserve their intricate embellishments and delicate construction, we strongly recommend professional dry cleaning only. Avoid contact with sharp accessories or abrasive surfaces to prevent snags, and store flat or gently folded in tissue to maintain shape and shine. Let your sequins sparkle, without compromise.

Feathers

Feather-adorned garments are the epitome of ethereal sophistication—and demand the same in their care. Due to their delicate, natural composition, specialist dry cleaning is essential. Exposure to moisture, friction, or heat can cause feathers to lose their softness or become brittle. When not in use, store in a breathable garment bag to protect the texture and volume. Think of it as preserving a little magic.

Leather

When caring for your vegan leather garment, maintaining its pristine condition requires a gentle touch and mindful cleaning. To ensure longevity and preserve its luxurious feel, always opt for spot cleaning with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, if necessary. Harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, and machine washing should be meticulously avoided, as these can compromise the material's integrity and aesthetic. For deeper cleaning, specialized vegan leather cleaners are recommended, applied sparingly and buffed gently to restore its original luster without causing damage.

Fringes

Fringe pieces are all about fluidity and movement—qualities worth preserving with thoughtful care. To maintain their integrity, professional dry cleaning is recommended. Never iron fringe directly; instead, use a steamer from a safe distance to release any wrinkles without distorting the threads. When storing, hang garments with enough space to prevent tangling or flattening. Treat each strand as part of the design—it's what gives fringe its captivating charm.

Knits

Knits combine comfort and structure in equal measure—and both deserve careful maintenance. We recommend folding rather than hanging to avoid stretching, and storing flat in a cool, dry place. For care, consult your garment's label; most luxury knits benefit from professional cleaning, though some may allow gentle hand washing. Always reshape while damp and dry flat to preserve form. A little intention goes a long way in keeping your knits soft, sculptural, and enduring.
